Winemakers in Malibu, California, are making some great wines in Southern California. It’s not enough to have a beautiful Pacific coast; Malibu has wine-friendly terroir and climate too. So if you’re in Southern California, look to Malibu wines as a great option for local wine choices and even winery visits.
Malibu boasts long days of sunlight and cool ocean breezes. It has mineral rich soils consisting of equal parts volcanic soils, clay and sand. The winemaking in Malibu is impressive. And a great place to try out some Malibu wines is at the outdoor tasting room: Malibu Wines.
Recently, we met our friends Gladys, Leonard and Tal at the Malibu Wines Tasting Room. It’s located in the mountainous-area of Malibu. It has a few bars for pouring wine and a wonderful meadow with tables with umbrellas and a stage for live music.
You can do a tasting or buy wine by the glass or bottle. They even encourage folks to bring a picnic so you can eat as you drink. It’s a great place for a lazy weekend afternoon. So if you’re trying to find a place to hang out and enjoy the great weather and wine of Malibu, check out Malibu Wines Tasting Room.
