We are two people who love wine and believe that wine doesn’t have to be stuffy or pretentious. We aren’t sommeliers. You won’t find us featured in Wine Spectator. We are 2 everyday winos living in Hollywood in pursuit of great wine at affordable prices.
How many times have you gone to the wine store or a restaurant and bought a bottle or ordered a glass because the label was nice or the name sounded intriguing? And even as you’re buying it, you’re thinking, I really hope this wine is good.
We have done that a million times and it’s a crap shoot. More often than not, we aren’t satisfied and then suffer through a bottle we don’t really like. Sound familiar?
Bottomline, it’s not easy to find a good glass of wine. Especially at a lower price point. We’ve found that we can’t rate a wine from its label or name. We need to taste it. So we will. And we’ll let you know if we think it’s worth buying.
Our mission is to be satisfied every time we drink a glass of wine. Join us on our journey to find great wine and hopefully you will come away satisfied as well.
We will also bring wine country to you – wherever you live in the world. Wine country is in our backyard — we’ll talk about it and show pictures and provide reviews of California wine bars, wineries, vineyards, wine events, and more. We plan to visit other wine countries too!
Wine is an experience that should be shared. We hope you share your experiences with us as well.
And don’t be surprised if you hear us talking about movies and cycling because when we aren’t drinking wine, we can usually be found working on and watching movies and riding our tandem bicycle through our Los Angeles neighborhood and wine country. Here’s to making wine fun! Cheers!

Steve and Jane Kelly Kosek are two Hollywood winos. They live in Los Angeles and enjoy frequent trips to California wine country and their nearby wine shop. Jane works in film and can be found writing, watching and making movies. Steve is a photographer and designer. 2007 Argentinian Cab Franc from Pulenta Estate in Mendoza! Yum! We bought it at the Wandering Dog Wine Bar in Solvang, CA.
